Farewell February!

This year of 2012 is rapidly fleeing! Already almost March! WOW!!!

February was a very busy month for me. I got my braces put on, and an oral surgery, school, orthodontist appointments, church activities, gearing up for volleyball season, and other things. School is going pretty well except for Literature and Chemistry. I am starting a 1000-1500 word research paper on a famous historic figure. Writing IS NOT one of my specialties!!!! I am not looking forward to it....

I did some sewing yesterday and today too. I made some yellow culottes and re-sewed the waist of a jumper. I was going to make red culottes but i dont have enough fabric.

I have started excercising regularly and my goal for this summer is to work up to being able to run at least 3 miles if not more. I have been riding our eliptical and cant wait till i can get outside to run! I have been tempted but i know its not very safe with snow and mud... Patience is a virtue i lack, yet there have been many things that are teaching me that i better get some patience!

Bible reading and study has been keeping me busy as well. This year, I have purposed to do more studying and GOD has greatly blessed me! I am grateful for my many Godly friends and family members! Church is a place where there is not anybody who looks at you as if you are weird or strange. I am thankful that God has blessed me in so many ways!

Selfish or Self-less?

What is selfishness?

Selfishness is self-centeredness, self-regard, self-interest, greediness. Selfishness is wanting something so bad that it doesn’t matter to you whether it is an inconvenience to others.

I am writing about this because I have been struggling with this issue lately... I have not been thinking about what others may need or want and It has made me sin on a few occasions.

Philippians 2:3-5

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

When we are selfish, we are looking to our own things, not esteeming others as more important than ourselves. When we are selfish, we fight for our own rights. Jesus was not selfish. He is the ultimate example to us as being self-less!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and random stuff...)

What is the worst way to spend Valentines day?

Dying, preaking a leg, being admitted to the hospitol, etc...

Among that list was not getting braces put on! =D I am not looking forward to it too much but that is the way i am going to be spending mine, LORDwilling- sitting in a dentist chair with my mouth wide open, getting braces put on.... LOL!

On a brighter note..... here are ten things i am loving!

1. My family- immediate and church family. God has blessed me so much with a church full of wonderfull people!

2. Hugs!!!!!!! I got a lot of those yesterday! (complements of my sister... ;P dont stop hugging me sis!!!) I never get tired of giving or receiving them!!!

3. Sherlock Holmes. Ask any of my family... they will tell you, I have had a one track mind lately- DOYLE!!!!!!

4. Baking!!! THis past week, i have used up like 2 whole things of flour and then some! i have made valentine cookies, pretzels, Chocolate chip cookie ice cream bars, and more pretzels.

5. Sharing BIBLE verses. This is a HUGE encouragement to me and i know it encourages others!

6. Bright colors!!!!! =D They are very cheerful and uplifting!!!!

7. My Violin. I have a cheap one right now but LORDwilling, i will be upgrading SOON!!!!!

8. Skyping. Its sooooo cool! ;P

9. My Bachelor brothers.... In fact, all of them are still... ;P

10. last but not least, my new hair curling method, which cuts down on headaches!!!!!!! LOL! i know im weird.....


Five funny and clumsy things ive done recently....

1. Dumped mayonnaise on my dads classroom floor.... twice...

2. Stood there hitting my sister(gently) for no reason at all.....

3. stepped on a hanger....

4. Sat in the garbage can(little one in my room).... i didnt see it.....

5. somehow, i misplaced my boots and STILL cant find them.....

Duct tape Delight!

This past weekend, i decided to make and repair a few items with some leftover duct tape. i had purple, green, black, and zebra. I dont like dark colors so i didnt use much of the blacks... Anyways... here are some of my projects. =)

I couldnt find a buckle so i ended up using snaps on this belt... they didnt hold for very long....

This notebook had an ugly front so i covered it up. =) 

And somebody decided to tear this book so i decided to fix it...

And once i started, i wanted to cover everything in sight with duct tape so i settled on only a few... ;P

So.... this was my last weekends ambition..... ;P
